Some people tell me my life is like a movie.

I have circled the globe as a pro blogger. After living in Fiji, Bali, Thailand and Costa Rica for months at a time, I honestly can say that living a cool life of freedom began with a movie-worthy effort for years of my life.

I do not deem it hard work. But I do consider my effort to be in the range of 15,000 hours of my life. Doing anything for 15,000 hours requires such a big commitment that most people shudder at the number. Most bloggers quit after 10, 50 or 100 hours of effort over weeks, months or perhaps a year or two.

How did I put in 15,000 hours of effort over a decade?

Fun and Freedom

I love what I do. I feel free doing what I do. I also studied enough titans to understand that successful people out give everybody else because top pros love their gigs.

Steve Jobs spoke of being passionate about business because logical people quit when things do not seem to be coming together. He was right. Loving your gig makes the work, the reward. If work is the reward you will never quit until you lose passion for what you do.

Fun and freedom inspire me to blog daily for years. Blogging for years allowed me to live a genuinely dream-worthy life. But the effort I put forth triggered a litany of deep fears, limiting beliefs and highly uncomfortable situations that pretty much separate movie-worthy folks from everybody else.

Different Levels of Problems

I faced some stiff problems over the years. But observing people who do not chase – or live – their dreams, this vast majority of people makes mountains out of mole hills.

Folks who work 9-5 jobs mainly to get a paycheck obsessively focus on manipulative news headlines, panicking, viewing news items as the biggest problems in their lives. Meanwhile, most of these people have a roof over their head, some savings and a steady paycheck.

I have been $80,000 in debt and went bankrupt during my early entrepreneur days. I faced stiff resistance from friends for my choices. News headlines mean nothing to me because I have faced much deeper fears during my movie-worthy journey to being a pro blogging island hopper. I also faced deeper fears living in remote areas of the world, staring down spitting cobras, 8 inch long centipedes, scorpions, bird-eating spiders and even sitting with three, 400 pound tigers in their cage.

Trade Up Your Problems and Fears

Do you want to live a movie-worthy life worthy of your wildest dreams?

Follow your fun, chase your passion and trade up your problems and fears. You will be encountering much deeper fears than obsessing over carefully crafted, manipulative news headlines engineered to trigger the panicked masses with ease.

The movie-worthy journey makes embracing these bigger problems and deeper fears 100% worth the effort, commitment and willingness to be uncomfortable here and there during a decade-long journey

I believe in you.

Put in a legendary effort over years.

Forget about doing spectacular things in days, weeks or months.

Do simple things over many thousands of hours to live your dreams.
