James Breakwell, comedy writer and author of the famous book Only Dead on the Inside: A Parent's Guide to Surviving the Zombie Apocalypse, tweeted this the other day.
Me: Find your shoes.
4-year-old: They're gone forever.
Me: Where did you look?
4: Nowhere.
Good start.
After I stopped laughing because if you've ever had kids you know how true this is, I got to thinking about how true this is even after we grow up and become big kids. How many times have we stopped before we even got started because something looked too hard, there were too many risks, or <insert excuse here>? My challenge to you today is simple. Re-examine your long-term goals and dreams. Then take the first step towards achieving them.
I don't know what your goals are, but don't give up before you start. You're not a 4-year-old anymore. Get started!
Love this!! Fear of doing controls too many of our choices these days! Instead of stressing over where to start or how….just do it!
