I firmly believe that “Powering Up”, i.e, doing your homework, is critical to your success.  I also think it can be one of the worst things you can do if you spend too long doing it.  It is very easy to confuse being busy with being productive.  If you are staying busy reading up on every possible thing that you should be doing, guess what?  You're not doing those things, you're reading!!!

Don't neglect Powering Up, you want to learn from other people's experiences!  Confucius said – “By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest.”  Over the years I've found this statement to be true.

Just don't get stuck Powering Up, as soon as you know what it is that you should be doing, Step Up and start doing it or you might as well have never Powered Up or Showed Up in the first place!
