As a web content writer, you have probably had to face the fact that a large part of your job consists of writing duplicate content. It is frustrating to have to write about a subject you are familiar with because you are under a tight schedule, and you have to meet the client's deadlines. And you know that, although you are wasting time, you are more likely to be compensated for your efforts. But will you be replaced by artificial intelligence? Let's find out.

AI Writing Trend So Far

All the big companies are jumping on the Bot bandwagon and are spending a lot of money on tools to create machine-generated content. It is not surprising that big companies are willing to jump on board since they have the money to afford the services and have a vested interest in increasing their online presence. But why would they want to use automated content when they can use content created by humans?

Furthermore, machine-generated content can be put up in a matter of hours, while it can take human writer weeks to complete a decent-sized piece of content. The machine will also not get writer's block or complain about long hours or low pay. So, should the human writer be worried?

Content Marketing is all about content: the blog posts, eBooks, and other marketing assets you create that pull the right people to your website. But the fact is, creating content is a lot easier than creating high-quality content that engages your audience and generates leads.

And that's why a lot of companies outsource their content creation to freelancers. Of course, there are many reasons why outsourcing might not be the best idea, especially if you're hoping to create a consistent brand voice. But if you're on a tight budget and can only afford to hire freelancers on a project-by-project basis, your content still needs to sound as if it's coming from a single reference.

Can AI Create Better Content?

AI is evolving, and Google, Microsoft, and many other companies have improved their tools to compose the human language better. Marketers and writers use these tools to create content more efficiently. The question is: are these tools able to replace human writers and create better content?

What do you think about artificial intelligence? Over the years, it has become a real-life phenomenon that makes human life easier. As per the recent report of Forrester, AI will help you in your business and writing. (The report is published in June 2018) More than half of the worlds' largest companies will be using artificially intelligent technology by the end of 2018.

The internet has opened a world of connections, opportunities, and resources for everyone. But do you realize how much more successful you'd be if you could build more effective and more personal reciprocity with your audience?

How Can Human Writers Survive Against The Writing Tools?

Writing is one of the most difficult tasks a Computer can do. Unfortunately, even the smartest computer programs can’t yet write like a human. But, at least one tech giant is trying to change that. Google has been working on a new type of Artificial Intelligence called Deep Learning that can “think” and learn in the same way humans do. This AI program has been able to beat the World Chess Champion program, Deep Blue. It also beat the human player in a game of Go earlier this year.

Many software packages on the market can assist you with your writing. They all have one thing in common: they are supposed to replace you as a human writer. But it is not like that. These tools allow you to outsource your writing to the world, that you cannot do yourself. They do not replace you as a writer. They are your assistants. So relax and write your next piece of content.

Final Words

Wherever you look, the battle between humans and content writing tools is intensifying. In some areas, such as the media industry, the battle is already over as automated content writing tools have completely taken over. With the ever increasing demand for content, content writing tools are becoming more advanced and capable of producing more and more content in less time.

If you think that AI writing tools will replace human writers anytime soon, think again. For now, human writers are still the more cost-effective and professional choice. That’s because the quality of their work for the price is incomparable to AI writing tools, which are still being developed.

The human writers and the AI tools both have their pros and cons. Human writers are experts in creative writing and can generate content that is informative and engaging. Their knowledge and experience are also a big plus point for the companies to do proper keyword research and write SEO-friendly content. On the other hand, the AI tools developed by the different companies are proficient in research and analysis. They can also generate content that has zero grammatical mistakes.

The users of AI tools don’t have to worry about deadlines as they can produce content any time of the day. On the flip side, AI tools don’t have the creativity of a human writer and cannot produce unique content. So we will have to wait and see the future trend before coming to any conclusion.
