getting back to healthy week 4

Four weeks ago, I admitted that I had slipped out of the healthy weight zone, and committed to my readers that I would lose weight and get back to healthy.  This is a continuation of this series, Getting Back to Healthy.

I've dropped 6lbs total in the last 4 weeks using my 4 step formula, but the last two have been a bit rough.

This week, I lost 1.8lbs.

Well, if I want to be REALLY honest, I lost about 5lbs, and gained about 3 this week.  Seems like that's par for the course.  Two steps forward and one step back.

In any case I'll call it a win, progress is progress.

It was the weekend again that got me.  This time it wasn't the cookies.  It was my new craving of the day while I was watching my daughter cheer at the football game, and again at the powder puff game.

Nachos.  Nachos and Cheese.  770 calories according to myfitnesspal, with 41g of fat (out of 1500 calories/45g of fat limit for the day).

nachos and cheese

That was after devouring half a pizza earlier in the day.  We won't talk about those calories…

My conclusion?  Weekends BAAADDD!!!

Overall though I have to say I felt pretty good about last week.  I stayed within a few hundred calories of my target for the day 6 out of 7 of the days, and did a lot of walking.  I've been walking over my lunch hour, in the evening with the dog, and even went to the zoo this weekend with the kids and walked for several hours.

I've also still been playing around on my Total Gym most nights, and have started finally feeling a bit more toned again.

This week, I'm taking a few days off to go hiking, one of my favorite ways to get some exercise and enjoy the outdoors.  Hopefully next week will be the week I get to announce that I'm officially back in the healthy zone!

Until then, hope you have a great week!

If you have any ideas on how to avoid the weekend munchies, make sure to comment or send me a message!
