So you want to start a business, and you want to know what you can do.  Start by asking these three questions.  Just brainstorm all your answers for each and write them down.

  1. What am I good at?
  2. What do I enjoy doing?
  3. What will people pay for?

Here's a good visual.

Now look at your list, and figure out what things are in all three categories.  Those are your ideas!  Try them out and see what works!

The key here is to Step Up and start something, you can easily get paralyzed by over analyzing things.  Successful people look at the available information, then just pick a path that seems most promising and start walking.  They don't wait until everything is absolutely perfect, because it will never be perfect.  That doesn't mean they don't take some time to think it through either, they just wait until it's good enough to have a decent chance at succeeding, then pull the trigger and go start doing it.  There are many good businesses, you don't have to be unique to make money, and you don't have to be perfect either.  Successful people learn to fail fast, learn from their mistakes, then adjust their course and try again.

If you need more help coming up with ideas for what types of careers you might be good at I would recommend taking the free career test at https://www.sokanu.com/ which should give you some ideas on types of businesses to start.
